Legal Disclaimer

Costa Mobility content is not legal advice, submitting information does not by itself create a full attorney-client relationship, and only the law firm provides legal services.

Preliminary version under attorney review. Items marked [PREENCHER] (to be filled in) and [CONFIRMAR] (to be confirmed) are still open. Do not treat this text as final.

Costa Mobility Counsel PLLC provides U.S. immigration legal services. The content of the website, articles, guides, videos, social media, assessment questions and the Mobility Snapshot is general information. It is not legal advice about your situation, not an eligibility determination and not a substitute for an attorney's individual review. The Mobility Snapshot is generated by AI and checked by automated validation, without review by an attorney, and it is not an attorney's recommendation. Do not act, or refrain from acting, based on that content alone.

2. When an attorney-client relationship exists

  • No full attorney-client relationship arises merely from submitting information through the website, the assessment, the Mobility Snapshot, communication channels, scheduling tools or account features, from sending forms, emails or messages, from receiving automated messages or from reading educational content.
  • Mobility Blueprint: a limited-scope service of Costa Mobility Counsel PLLC, restricted to what the Limited Scope Notice describes (an AI-assisted draft reviewed by the attorney before the consultation, one mandatory 30-minute consultation, post-consultation finalization and final approval by the attorney). It does not start full representation and is not a definitive legal opinion, a fee agreement or a substitute for individualized representation.
  • Full representation in an immigration matter begins only with a separate written engagement agreement with Costa Mobility Counsel PLLC: the Firm completes its conflict check, accepts the matter in writing, you sign the engagement agreement and pay the required initial installment.

Even before engagement, the attorney treats as confidential the information you share while considering a possible engagement, under the professional rules that protect prospective clients. [CONFIRMAR: extent of this protection (NY Rule 1.18).] Even so, do not send urgent documents or information before the attorney asks for them.

  • Costa Mobility Counsel PLLC is a U.S. immigration law firm with offices in New York, NY, and Orlando, FL. Legal services are provided exclusively by it, under the responsibility of Christopher F. Costa, Esq., an attorney admitted in New York and New Jersey. [CONFIRMAR: the attorney's registration details.]
  • Costa Mobility Technologies LLC is a technology company. It operates the platform and provides data and information-organization tools. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal services. Services provided by Technologies are not legal services, and the protections of the attorney-client relationship do not apply to them (NY Rule 5.7). [CONFIRMAR: ownership relationship between the two companies and wording of the Rule 5.7 notice.]
  • U.S. immigration law is federal. Unless expressly agreed in writing, the Firm does not provide tax, accounting, investment, securities, corporate or employment advice, or advice on Brazilian law, the law of the State of Florida or the law of other countries.
  • Only attorneys and accredited representatives may represent people before U.S. immigration authorities (8 CFR 292.1). The platform, on its own, does not represent anyone.

4. AI-generated content

The platform uses AI to generate the Mobility Snapshot and to organize information and prepare Blueprint drafts. AI does not give legal opinions, decide eligibility, promise outcomes, approve or deny cases or replace the attorney's judgment. The Snapshot is released after automated validation, without review by an attorney, and states this prominently. Blueprint and courtesy summary content is reviewed and approved by an attorney before it reaches you; attorney-reviewed legal analysis is provided only within an accepted limited-scope service or a signed engagement agreement. AI models are accessed through OpenRouter, with models from OpenAI and Google, configured so that your inputs and outputs are not used to train models by default.

5. No guarantee of outcome

No immigration pathway, timeline or outcome is guaranteed. Decisions rest with U.S. authorities, which have discretion, and depend on the facts and evidence of each case, the applicable law and factors outside our control, such as lotteries (for example, the H-1B lottery), quotas, backlogs, consular practice and policy changes. Prior results, examples, testimonials and descriptions of immigration pathways do not guarantee a similar outcome.

6. Information may change

Immigration law, fees, forms and policies change often. Our content shows its publication or review date, and the Blueprint states the date of the information the analysis is based on. Always check the date and the official source.

7. What we do not do without a written agreement

Unless separately engaged in writing, we do not file petitions, monitor deadlines or document expiration dates, preserve your immigration status, contact government agencies on your behalf, take any other action or provide ongoing representation. Monitoring of document expiration dates (such as the I-94, visas, work authorizations and passports) exists only for people who engage the Firm for a separate legal service, after the petition covered by that engagement is approved and under the terms of that service's agreement; the Mobility Blueprint and the platform do not provide that monitoring. The platform does not provide urgent or emergency legal help through automated flows. Do not send urgent or time-sensitive matters through the website: if you have an upcoming deadline or an urgent situation, contact an attorney immediately.

Links to official and third-party websites are provided for convenience. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content.

9. Attorney advertising

This website may be considered attorney advertising. Responsible attorney: Christopher F. Costa, Esq. Offices: New York, NY, and Orlando, FL. See the Attorney Advertising page.
